The Rivertown Neighborhood has been named Detroit’s first assisted living community that is affordable for residents and is set to open April 12th, 2013 at its location on 250 McDougall Ave.
Formerly a research laboratory, the building where the complex is located was most recently used by Omni Hotels.
The Henry Ford Health System partnered with local communities to create the Rivertown Neighborhood Living Center and will house roughly 80 residents by the end of the year.
The assisted living community will create 100 new jobs and impact the economy with an estimated $250 million over the next ten years.
