Thanks to a newly approved California budget, the
San Francisco Unified School District will receive additional funding of about $4,000 per student during the course of the next seven years.
The increased funding will give school districts more control over how the money is spent, and will increase base funding for districts throughout the state. Low-income schools will also benefit greatly from the legislation.
We’re thrilled to see good things for San Francisco education, and the state of California. Education is so important, and our young people are our future – not to mention, our future entrepreneurs!
