We already know it can be hard to hail a taxi in San Francisc. Now, there’s an easier way.
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency recently signed off on a piece of legislature that would outfit all cabs with technological equipment that would allow smartphone users to send their real-time locations.
Other apps exist that allow cabs to see your location, but they don’t cover every taxi in town. The SFMTA’s proposition would give the city’s 1,750 taxis access to this data all the time.
Great to see the MTA embracing technology!
