When compared to national figures, the Charlotte area flourished over the last year. Out of 337 metro areas, 151 cities saw a decline in construction employment and 60 stayed the same. For now, it’s unclear why Charlotte is rising above national averages, but it seems positive trends are only going to continue.
Charlotte saw a 2% employment rate increase in the construction industry, adding 700 employees to payroll. As of November, the employment number in the construction industry stood at 39,300.
