Even though the economy is still in rough shape, Charlotte ended 2012 on a positive note, seeing a full 1% increase in employment rate and creating 9,595 new jobs. Industries with the most growth were healthcare and social assistance, professional and technical services, retail, and food service.
With the apartment market also booming, developers say they’re confident in the economic progress of the area. We’re glad to see that Charlotte is finally on the upswing and look forward to seeing more new jobs created and the employment rate continue to rise.
