An amazing new type of concrete has been developed that’s actually able to repair itself when exposed to the sunlight. How does it do it? The concrete is glazed with a coating that contains micro-capsules that “melt” into the cracks and fix them when the sun hits. It’s relatively cheap to create and won’t freeze during the winter months. It’s expected to cut costs for government road-building and even repair bridges and buildings.
