Highway1, a technology incubator, had a very cool demo day last week. 12 devices were featured, many of which are “connected devices” – meaning, items that integrate directly to smartphones, computers, or directly to the internet.
Sensilk is a company producing connected clothing. Karen Kaushansky, Head of Product Design and friend of Wheel Media, presented a sports bra that monitors the wearer’s heart rate and other vital signs. The plan is to make a men’s athletic shirt next, with similar connectivity, then move on to other items of clothing.
