CALICO believes that child abuse is a community problem, and that families and communities as well as public and private agencies have a role in keeping children safe. CALICO is regularly invited to speak at community and civic functions, faith-based organizations, businesses and schools to provide information about child abuse, the community's role in prevention and intervention, and the services CALICO provides. We also participate in community fairs and events as requested.

Community members are welcome to tour CALICO facilities - either our main facility in San Leandro or our satellite office at the Family Justice Center in Oakland. Tours can be arranged during the daytime, evening or weekends. Contact us to schedule a talk in your community or arrange for a tour of our facilities.
