To donate by Visa or MasterCard not using the Internet, CALICO needs your name (as it appears on the credit card), address, card-number and expiration date, and the amount of your gift. You can send this information to the address above, or you can contact our Office Manager directly at (510) 895-0702.

A donation to CALICO to commemorate significant events and people in your life is a thoughtful and meaningful way to express your good wishes. Make a donation in honor of a friend or a special event, or celebrate a birthday or special accomplishment by making a named gift. We will notify the honored person with a card acknowledging your gift.

CALICO receives donations from many individuals through their workplace-giving programs. You can donate to CALICO through several United Way campaigns. To donate with the United Way of the Bay Area, simply write CALICO Center on your pledge form. To donate through the State Campaign, write in #14272, and to donate through the Combined Federal Campaign, write in #37289.

CALICO works with a reputable car donation processor, Car Program, who will make all the arrangements, including a free vehicle pickup. By donating, you avoid the hassle of selling a used vehicle, help support CALICO, and receive a receipt entitling you to declare the sale price of your vehicle as a tax deduction. Another way to help CALICO is to donate toys, supplies and other materials we use throughout the year. Items currently on our wish list include the following:

Supplies for Children

• PlayStation games
• Puzzles, board games, books
• Toys for boys and girls of all ages (e.g., dolls, sports equipment, action figures, educational games/toys, journals, movies, etc.)

Supplies for Interviews

• Blank (professional grade) audio cassette tapes
• Blank DVD-Rs (professional grade) and storage cases
• Digital audio recorder

Office Supplies

• Basic office supplies (e.g., paper, paper clips, post-its, pens, mechanical pencils, labels, stamps)
• Printer cartridges (HP 1320, 2550 and 4P)
• Coffee Urns
• New computers with DVD drives
• Leased storage space and/or a storage shed
• Raffle prizes for our annual training and fall fundraiser
