No Talk. All Action. Launch a Startup in 54 Hours.
And so begins 2014 Charlotte Startup Weekend, an annual event where North Carolina’s entrepreneurs all come together to create. Attendees’ backgrounds are varied – some are coders, others marketers, lawyers, or accountants – but each one is linked by the drive to innovate.
The site explains, “What unites all attendees is a common interest in entrepreneurship: whether a serial entrepreneur or new to the startup scene, every attendee is interested in working with a like-minded, motivated and skilled team to develop a product or business in one weekend.”
Here’s how it works. Teams come together, armed with a business or product plan. Over the course of the weekend, the team works on transforming their idea into a reality. From Friday, January 24th, until Sunday morning, the teams collaborate to create a viable business plan, and then present it to the judging panel.
The point of Charlotte Startup Weekend isn’t the end-of-weekend prizes. It’s an opportunity to collaborate and create, to turn plans into concrete realities.
This year’s Weekend kicks off on Friday, January 24th. Haven’t registered for the event yet? That doesn’t mean you have to miss out! Head over this way to register today.
